Autumn arrives

A busy year! And we’ve barely begun begun our busiest season, which is autumn, the best time of the year to plant almost everything here in the Southern Sierra and southern Central Valley of California.

Challenges:

I need to hire another landscaper! Quick!*

Joys:

Nice long-blooming South African native Bulbine in a 2-year-old Porterville garden

I have great clients, customers, colleagues and team members!

The plants are doing well, and we have more milkweed germinated!

We have a lot of work!*

I am almost finished with the book. I know I’ve been saying this for a year (or more), but it’s really, really true. Working very hard to get it out into the world this fall.

It’s really true…you just never know what you will find when you start to dig…
Why we do it…I quickly snapped a photo of this California toad in my garden as the sun was setting. Nature’s pesticide!

We’ve got these Events coming up this fall:

Springville Farmers Market – October 6 & December 1

Springville Apple Fetival – October 20-21

Foothill Festival – November 3

Hope to see you at at least one of these. Let me know if you’re looking for something special for your California garden.
